Community Contra This Saturday
So what makes a Community Contra night extra special? Why, the community, of course! We will have a large and rockin’ band of community members bringing great energy and enthusiasm. We’ve got experienced and NEW Contra callers, building the capacity of our dance community to keep dancing far into the future. Join the fun, learn a new dance or two, and be sure to thank your fellow Contra Dance enthusiasts for trying their hand at calling and performing.
Spicy Masala Chai at the Minnesota Historical Society
Did you miss seeing “Spicy Masala Chai” at Fringe last year? You’ve got another chance to see this best-selling dance drama (featuring Tapestry’s own Bollywood teachers!) at the Minnesota Historical Society on May 1. Click on the link to order tickets.
Got a Love for All Things Folk?
On Friday, May 13 (8 to 10:30 pm) and Saturday, May 14 (7 to 10:30 pm), you’ll find an eclectic collection of folk-related items, textiles and clothing for sale. Many thanks to Laura Schneck, whose work hosting the Bizarre Bazaar benefits Tapestry folkdance programs.
