Public Transportation Directions
#23: Last bus leaves the corner of 38th Street & Minnehaha westbound at about 11:15 pm, eastbound at around 11:35 pm, 7 days a week. Excellent for people who live in the Uptown area (Lakes district), in south Minneapolis near 38th Street, or in the Highland Village part of southwestern Saint Paul.
#7: Minnehaha Avenue is served by #7. Service runs past midnight in either direction, 7 days a week from downtown Minneapolis to the 48th Street Light Rail station and back.
Blue Line: Line runs three blocks west of our location. Stop is on 38th Street & Hiawatha Avenue.
The 38th St. LRT Blue Line Station is also served by service on route #22 and on selected route #14 trips (every other bus). Of course, trips to and from the Station still require a 3 block walk to Tapestry, unless you catch bus #23.
All Service runs late so dancers without personal transportation can rely on public transit. For more information on routes and fares, see www.metrotransit.org or call 612-373-3333.
Nice Ride Bike Share:
There is a Nice Ride bike share docking/rental station at the 38th street light rail station. Nice Ride is a bike sharing program that runs from April to November. Pay at the docking/rental stations for a day pass or 30 day pass and then choose a green nice ride bike. Rates go up the longer you use the bike so it is advisable to dock at stations along the way to save. It’s a great way to get to Tapestry and warm up before the dance! Year long memberships and more information at www.niceridemn.org.
