Experience the magic of International Folkdance. Enjoy the camaraderie, spirit, and richness of dancing to folk music from around the world.
If you enjoy the dancing on Tuesday nights at the "Nine Nights of Music", join us for an 8-week beginner class where we will teach a sampler of fun and easy dances from countries ranging from the Middle East to Europe and from Asia to the Americas. At the end of the eight sessions, students will have the opportunity to use what we learned dancing to the live music of the award winning band Orkestar Bez Ime at the Black Dog Café in St. Paul.
Four teachers will share the teaching responsibilities in a fun and welcoming environment: Caren Grantz-Keljik, Terry McGibbon, Erin Walsh, and Gina Bonsignore. Most of the dances are performed in a line and do not require partners.
No previous dance experience is necessary and newcomers are free to come to any or all of the classes.
For questions about the class, please contact Carole Wilson through the Tapestry office here
