Tapestry Folkdance Center partners with the Minnesota History Center to bring “9 Nights” of music and dance to thousands of visitors on the lawn of the Minnesota History Center. For attendees who are interested in furthering their knowledge and experience with the dance styles demonstrated at 9 Nights, Tapestry provides a continuing dance opportunity with its Summer Sampler.
Join us for an 8-week beginner class at the Tapestry Folkdance Center, July and August each year, when Tapestry instructors teach a variety of fun and easy folkdances from countries around the world: the Middle East, Europe, Asia and the Americas. No experience, no partner and no registration required.
You can use the dances you’ve just learned by dancing to the live music of the award winning band, Orkestar Bez Ime (OBI) every third Thursday at the Black Dog Café in St. Paul.
Dates: Friday evenings in July and August
Place: Tapestry Folkdance Center
Price: $5 (Includes admission to International Folkdance @ 7:30pm)
