At the end of the eight sessions, students will have the opportunity to use what we learned dancing to the live music of the award winning band Orkestar Bez Ime at the Black Dog Café in St. Paul.

Four teachers will share the teaching responsibilities in a fun and welcoming environment: Caren Grantz-Keljik, Terry McGibbon, Erin Walsh, and Gina Bonsignore. Most of the dances are performed in a line and do not require partners.

No previous dance experience is necessary and newcomers are free to come to any or all of the classes.

It's music. It's dance. It's outdoors. It's free. What is it? "9 Nights," of course, Tapestry's annual collaboration with the Minnesota Historical Society for Tuesday night fun throughout July and August. Come for a half-hour of dance instruction suited to the evening's music. Then stay for more dancing, or just to listen to the music! Pack a picnic or buy food/beer/wine. If it rains, the party moves indoors. Location: The Minnesota History Center in St. Paul, between the State Capitol and the Cathedral.

More info on the 9 Nights page on the Minnesota Historical Society's website here.

And on Tapestry's 9 Nights page here.

New Website for Tapestry Coming Soon! PDF Print E-mail
Change the font size:

We have partnered with local web designer Bob Schmitt of Laughing Waters Studio to help Martha Megarry, our Marketing and Technical Assistant, make a new site for Tapestry that will better meet your needs as dancers. Bob is a website designer, artist and a Longfellow resident who has helped many local Longfellow businesses with their website and logos. The biggest reason for this decision is we have heard from many dancers that they want to view the site easily on their phones. They also want more information on our calendar and want the site to look more attractive to new dancers. We are making a new site to meet these needs. Look for it later this summer!
