Time to Celebrate!

Tapestry Folkdance Center is shifting to a modified program schedule that includes primarily on-line classes, dances and concerts. The COVID-19 Task Force Safety Protocols are in place for teachers, callers and musicians accessing the building to live stream or use production equipment. Tapestry Folkdance Center is seeking a Board Treasurer

At a time when a lot of nonprofits are struggling, and even going under, Tapestry Folkdance Center is stable and looking for ways to have an impact. We are primed to take on the challenges ahead, but we're missing one essential person -- a Treasurer.

A successful Treasurer does not need to be an accountant or a bookkeeper, but they do need to have a passion for good financial management and responsible oversight. The Treasurer works with the staff Finance Associate to ensure board members get accurate financial information communicated in a clear, understandable manner. The Treasurer meets with the Finance Associate, Executive Director and Board President once a month to review the budget. The Treasurer helps the Board understand reports prepared by staff and guides the Board in discussions and decision-making. The Treasurer also verifies that staff have submitted annual reporting forms: 990s, state tax, withholding, and the Secretary of State filing.

For more information or to apply contact: Ann Mosey, executive director at amosey@tapestryfolkdance.org.
